Off the cost of Lombok there are 3 little islands, 3 pieces of paradise, Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air. We were only able to travel to the first one, but it was a great experience. The rainy season made the island more peaceful, less crowded by turists and provided some amazing dark clouded skies.
People are my favourite subject. Old, young, big, small, with innocent eyes or heavy hearts. Gladly during our time at the island, a traditional ceremony took place (cannot remember the name, ups). Always trying respect the celebrations and not to be too intrusive, I could not resist the opportunity to capture some moments. The small size of my lovely Olympus EP1 really helps with the attempts of discretion.
